Organization Structure and Duties
The Taiwan Biodiversity Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture comprises five divisions: Wild Animals Division. Wild Plants Division, Ecosystem Management Division, Resource Management Division and Conservation and Promotion Division. It also includes four research centers: Wushikeng Research Center, Tengzhi Research Center, Hehuan Mountain Research Center and Qigu Research Center. Additionally, there are three offices: Secretariat Office, Personnel Office, and Accounting Office. The duties of each are as follows:
- Research on genetic diversity of wildlife.
- Research on species diversity of wildlife.
- Research on ecosystem diversity.
- Research on agricultural biodiversity.
- Research on the management of biological resources and sustainable utilization of biodiversity.
- Research on biodiversity popularization and international cooperation
- Other research topics related to biodiversity.
