Taiwan Biodiversy Research Institute

The Taiwan Biodiversity Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture comprises five divisions: Wild Animals Division. Wild Plants Division, Ecosystem Management Division, Resource Management Division and Conservation and Promotion Division. It also includes four research centers: Wushikeng Research Center, Tengzhi Research Center, Hehuan Mountain Research Center and Qigu Research Center. Additionally, there are three offices: Secretariat Office, Personnel Office, and Accounting Office. The duties of each are as follows:

1. Research on genetic diversity of wildlife.
2. Research on species diversity of wildlife.
3. Research on ecosystem diversity.
4. Research on agricultural biodiversity.
5. Research on the management of biological resources and sustainable utilization of biodiversity.
6. Research on biodiversity popularization and international cooperation
7. Other research topics related to biodiversity.
