A. Private Transportation

Southbound form Taipei:

Take National Highway 3 south; exit at Mingian (236K) Interchange; turn left to Rt 3 south; turn left to Rt 16 at 223k exit; turn left to the town of Jiji at 9k traffic light; cross the railroad and immediately make right turn to Rt 27 south; drive for about 800m to Endemic Species Research Institute on the right side.

Northbound form Kaohsiung:

Take National Highway 3 north ; exit at Mingian (236K) Interchange; take Rt 3 south; turn left to Rt 16 at 223k exit ; turn left to the town of Jiji at 9k traffic light; cross the railroad and immediately make right turn to Rt 27 south; drive for about 800m to Endemic Species Research Institute on the right side.

B. Public Transportation

  1. Take train or bus to Taichung Train Station; transfer to All-Da bus (Taichung-Shueili Line) at the bus stop across the street for Jiji (departure every 15 min); get off the bus at the entrance of Endemic Species Research Institute (traveling time, about one and half hours form Taichung to the institute).
  2. Take Taiwan High Speed Rail to Wurih (Taichung) Station; transfer to Ubus to Taichung; transfer to All-Da bus (Taichung-Shueili Line) to Jiji; get off the bus at the entrance of Endemic Species Research Institute.
  3. Take train to Ershuei Train Station; transfer to train (Jiji Line) bound for Checheng; get off the train at Jiji Train Station (traveling time about 40 min); take a walk (about 30 min) on Rt 27 south (about 1800m) to Endemic Species Research Institute.
